Chowchilla Barn Burner

About Us PDF Print E-mail

Joe Diaz, the man that started it all, has been racing his whole life.  In 2003, Joe began attending board meetings at the Chowchilla-Madera County Fairgrounds and began drawing up some plans for a race track.  His goal was to provide a safe and exciting race track for motorcycle and kart racers at the fairgrounds. By fall of 2003 the Chowchilla Barn Burner officially opened offering flat track race opportunities for kart and motorcycle racers.  After one short year, quad racers became interested in racing at the Barn Burner.  By September of 2004, quad racers were competing at the Barn.

Today, the Diaz family continues the Barn Burner tradition by providing a place for everyone to enjoy safe and exciting race opportunities for motorcycle, kart and quad racers.  The 1/8th mile cusion oval track operates at the Chowchilla-Madera County Fairgrounds under the Madera County Agricultural Boosters Association Feed Pavilion.  Because this track operates under a covered pavilion, the Barn Burner is able to provide plenty of excitement, rain or shine, September through March every year.  For those traveling to the Barn Burner from out of town, or for anyone in general, camping is offered for FREE on Friday and Saturday nights.  There are also several hotels nearby.  Click here for information about our location and nearby hotels.
